Active and Engaged

Enjoy an enhanced quality of life through recreation. Surrey provides a range of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Whether you want to join a class, socialize with others, or learn something new, we have a wide range of programs to keep you engaged for life.

TWO WAYS TO SEARCH Based on customer feedback, we’ve added an additional way to search for activities online. Whether you want to search broadly or take a more focused approach, you will continue to register the way you do now for our same high-quality programs. Use Chrome for the best experience when searching using either method. Broad Search: Not sure what you’re looking for? Best for customers who wish to see all available activities first and then make selections. Can filter by keyword, course code or date range. Focused Search: Answer a few quick questions and display results based on selections. Best for customers who know exactly what they’re looking for or those who want to be guided to a program. Search frequently for the same activities? Save time by creating personalized searches for each family member. Focused searches will load faster with less criteria chosen. If selecting a large number of activities, choose the broad search for faster results. NEED HELP? Look for Registration Help online to find answers to frequently asked questions, a written step by step guide, and tutorial video. Welcome Come Explore

SAY IT AIN’T SNOW! With the holiday season ending, it’s officially wintertime in Surrey! As we turn the page on a new year–packing up decorations, grazing leftovers and dusting off alarm clocks for our first day back at work–it’s common to feel a little blue these days. Scarce sunlight and chilly temperatures have a way of making hibernation seem like a novel idea! With that said, it’s important to remember that a new year represents new beginnings. With countless events and activities to explore this season, the City of Surrey can help you make the most out of 2023 by embracing new experiences and building a sense of community. The magic of the holiday season may have come and passed, but this winter, the festive spirit lives on in Surrey! CHECK OUT Cool Activities ACROSS THE CITY THIS WINTER

What’s more? The facility’s ultramodern indoor cycling studio can help you shrink your waistline, while the leading-edge library helps expand your mind!

South Surrey Indoor Pool 14655 17 Avenue

Turkey entrées, eggnog cocktails and gingerbread treats are sweet while they last, but they can leave you feeling a little sluggish after the holiday season wraps up. Since reopening last September, locals can once again enjoy drop-in swimming, aquafit classes, performance training and more. Among the pool’s several amenities, the two dry heat saunas will undoubtedly provide reprieve for brave participants of this year’s Polar Bear Swim!

Gather friends and family to create lasting memories during a public skate at one of the City’s newest arena complexes. Afterwards, be sure to savour a warm drink and sweet treat at the state-of-the-art concession and lounge area!

Historic Stewart Farm 13723 Crescent Road Step back in time and experience history firsthand at Historic Stewart Farm this winter! Located in Elgin Heritage Park, this picturesque local historic site uses its eight heritage buildings and an extensive collection of artifacts to highlight agricultural life in Surrey during the 1890s.The Farm takes on a new atmosphere at this time of year, allowing visitors to learn more about the challenges the Stewart family faced during the cold winter months. Join us for a free guided tour with a knowledgeable costumed docent, explore the site’s unique heritage farm buildings and learn a bit more about this hidden gem in South Surrey!
