ENVIRONMENTAL  Implemented digital delivery of Council mail, reducing the associated carbon footprint by eliminating the courier deliveries;  Increased bylaw enforcement initiatives to clean up problem properties to remove or reduce their harmful effects on the environment;  Launched the electronic Council Correspondence package that provides all Council correspondence to Councillors via iPad Diligent Boardbook application thereby reducing paper storage costs and their related environmental impacts;  Managed the electronic Council agenda production process which requires the separate assembly of electronic Council and Senior Management Team packages for the CIC, Finance, Regular Council Land Use and Regular Council Public Hearing Meetings that are uploaded to iPads, saving approximately 1,050,000 pieces of paper annually (only two paper copies are produced); SOCIO-CULTURAL  Work in cooperation with Provincial Staff of Surrey Integrated Services Network to provide multi-disciplinary services to targeted groups of offenders in the court system;  Supported Surrey’s relationship with several Sister Cities and Friendship Cities visits to foster international relations, share best practices and promote educational and cultural exchanges;  Provide legal and corporate secretarial support services to the Surrey Homelessness and Housing Society;

 Due to the launching of the Secure Shredding Program to provide efficient and cost-effective proper document disposal, the “Green Report” for the program for 2015 includes 570.234 trees saved, 49,199 lbs of CO2 emissions avoided, and 169.885 cubic yards of landfill space conserved;  Proactive enforcement will respect soil contamination;  Successfully obtained intervenor status in judicial review application related to Fraser Surrey Docks direct transfer Coal Facility; and  Made submissions to the National Energy Board on Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain expansion project in regard to conditions to minimize negative financial and environmental impacts to Surrey and require decommissioning and removal of existing pipeline.

 Development and implementation of the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). This program is aimed at investing in the development and growth of leaders within the City of Surrey. With a goal of ensuring outstanding service to our residents and community, the Program will provide new and emerging leaders with the education, work experiences and self- development opportunities needed to meet the challenges and demands of building a world class City;
