SOCIO-CULTURAL Support the Heritage Advisory
Support the community garden application and selection process, and continue to work with Parks and “Can You Dig It” to support community gardening in the City; Work with Planning & Development on food growing-related policy issues including housekeeping updates of the Zoning Bylaw, with the goal of providing greater flexibility for food growing activities in the City; Continue involvement in the FCM Quality of Life Reporting System activities; Start the process to relocate the City Centre arenas to South Westminster; and Complete the planning process for the Surrey Museum Expansion.
Commission and the Agricultural and Food Security Advisory Committee; Complete and receive Council approval for: Stage 2 of the NCP for Grandview Area 4; Stage 2 of the NCP for the Semiahmoo Town Centre; and Updates of the Newton Town Centre, Fleetwood Town Centre and Cloverdale Town Centre Plans. In consultation with TransLink and the Engineering Department, finalize Frequent Transit Corridor Development Plans for existing and future rapid transit corridors in Surrey;
