SOCIO-CULTURAL Research, design, develop and implement the new Public Safety (PS) Strategy for the City; Utilize best practice community collaboration processes to engage a wide variety of community and government stakeholders in the development of the PS Strategy; Establish and nurture a “guiding coalition” for the PS Strategy; Facilitate strategic partnering and advocacy supports for the PS Strategy; Continue to fine-tune and enhance ENVIRONMENTAL Deliver acceleration programming to technology entrepreneurs in Surrey in partnership with post-secondary institutions, industry and non-profits; and
Continue bylaw enforcement initiatives to clean up problem
properties to remove or reduce their harmful effects on the environment.
Ensure organizational capacity and training opportunities are established to support the PS Strategy, while ensuring linkages are created with the relevant performance management plan(s); Attend the Provincial GUNS & GANGS 2 day conference in February 2016 to further establish and strengthen partnerships and networks in this area; Continue to support the development of the National Municipal Network (NMN) on Crime Prevention; Produce online records training modules on Records Management, Email Management and Privacy; and Working on launching New Privacy and Security training for City staff.
