Surrey’s Best MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS AND BMX TRACKS

DID YOU KNOW? That our 3 outdoor pools open May 14: Bear Creek, Greenaway and Sunnyside. The remainder open June 30. All of them are free to drop into for public swims. That Surrey has 25 free outdoor tennis court locations across the city, some lit for evening play. Plus the Surrey Tennis Centre has the only outdoor clay courts in the region. That there are cafés at Guildford Recreation Centre, Surrey Sport & Leisure, Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre, South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre when you need a quick bite!

Once a predominantly youth dominated sport, non-traditional bicycle recreation—including mountain biking (cross-country, free-riding, skills, dirt jumping, pump track riding) and BMX riding (urban riding, dirt jumping and racing) has been growing steadily in popularity across all age groups over the past 10 years. And thanks to the ongoing dedication and expertise of Surrey Off-Road Cycling Enthusiasts (SORCE) and other local not for profit groups, including Dirtwest and Action BMX, bike parks in Surrey have been carefully designed to offer a variety of tracks and trails to suit all abilities. For those just starting out, it’s a good idea to visit a local bike shop to ensure you have all the necessary safety equipment, including a helmet. A knowledgeable professional can also help ensure you have the right bike to fit both your needs and body. Once you’re suited up and ready to roll, your next priority is choosing which of Surrey's many tracks and trails to try first!
