PARKING AUTHORITY

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS

• Managed an inventory of 895 off-street lots and 1,146 on-street parking spaces across the city; • Responded to 792 service requests addressing public concerns regarding parking regulations and operations; • Installed 16 new Transit Shelters and 11 bus benches;

• Completed relocation and reactivation of the digital billboard from Surrey Langley Skytrain construction path to Grace Road site; and • Per Climate Change Action Strategy, launched a cost-neutral, shared e-Bike Share network in Surrey City Centre and Guildford with approximately 300 shared electric bikes.

FUTURE INITIATIVES, GOALS & OBJECTIVES

ECONOMIC PROSPERITY & LIVELIHOODS

Plan to increase parking revenue by expanding paid parking areas in City Centre and Green Timbers; the latter in support of Surrey-Langley Skytrain parking supply commitments; and

Complete final year of public EV charging network build-out under Clean BC/Infrastructure Canada grant program.
