WATER

EDUCATION & CULTURE

Continued to provide educational materials on lawn watering regulations as well as the various water conservation tools on the City website, social media platforms, recreation centers, libraries, Pattison digital boards, and different City events;

• Increased bylaw enforcement during the implementation of lawn watering regulation; and • Continued promotion of volunteer water metering adoption program.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS

• Completed water servicing strategies for South Campbell Heights Local Area Plan; and •

Initiated the development of water servicing strategies for City Centre, Fleetwood and Anniedale Heights areas.

FUTURE INITIATIVES, GOALS & OBJECTIVES

HEALTH & WELLNESS

• Continue to investigate the feasibility to monitor chlorine city-wide in strategic locations to provide proactive tools in managing water quality in the City; • Continue to improve compliance rate of the annual testing of backflow preventers; • Continue to investigate correlation between flushing and improved chlorine level in City’s water system; and

• Continue to investigate the feasibility of conducting cross connection surveys at industrial, commercial and institutional properties.
