MISSION STATEMENT To deliver high quality and efficient services to our customers through a spirit of innovation and team collaboration. KEY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES Corporate Services consists of key areas of our organization that support the overall core deliverables of the City including Human Resources, Information Technology, Legislative Services, Civic Facilities, Real Estate Services, and Communications & Engagement.

Through the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and development of City-owned lands, Real Estate Services supports the delivery of major capital projects, parkland expansion, affordable housing initiatives, and other civic priorities by providing appraisal services, market insight, and transactional leadership. The department also contributes to the City’s financial resilience by generating businesses. These activities also further economic development and encourage private—sector investment. CIVIC FACILITIES Civic Facilities is responsible for overseeing the efficient, safe, and sustainable operation of buildings through renovations, repairs, and daily maintenance. This includes a broad range of tasks, such as conducting preventative maintenance, managing energy consumption, and upgrading infrastructural components to meet current standards. By ensuring that facilities function smoothly, Civic Facilities plays a key role in maintaining the reliability and safety of these spaces. and protecting operating revenue through leasing of City lands to
HUMAN RESOURCES Human Resources (“HR”) provides a broad range of services and programs to both internal and external clients, including labour and employee relations; recruitment and retention; performance coaching; learning & development; employment services; compensation and benefits; occupational health and safety; diversity; wellness; employee recognition; and managing the Human Resources Information Systems (“HRIS”). HR partners with other departments to position the City as an employer of choice and administers programs designed to support City staff and foster a culture that attracts, motivates, and retains staff, enabling them to contribute their best in a thriving and safe organization. REAL ESTATE SERVICES Real Estate Services is a strategic partner
within the Corporate Services Department, responsible for the stewardship, optimization, and
governance of the City’s real property portfolio in support of Council priorities and corporate objectives. The department supports informed decision—making and financial sustainability by ensuring City land and
