EDUCATION & CULTURE
• Completed the groundwork for a new intranet to enhance the City’s internal communication efforts and better engage staff in fostering an award-winning workplace culture.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
• Delivered a mental health program to support staff wellbeing. The Mind Matters program aims to create a safer and more inclusive workplace by raising awareness about mental health, reducing stigma, and encouraging conversations within the workplace.
INFRASTRUCTURE
• Modernized the City’s data platform and developed 17 business intelligence dashboards that helped staff access reliable data faster and improved the efficiency of services delivered to residents; • Expanded the Online Permitting Portal by launching a development pre-application consultation pilot, streamlining minor tenant improvement permit reviews, and bringing Backflow Preventer Permits and the Cross Connection Control program fully online — making permitting faster, more transparent, and easier to navigate for residents and businesses; • Conducted space planning and facility reconfiguration across City Hall and the Surrey Main Operations building
• Launched a beta release of the Archistar eCheck platform for the R3 Residential zoning category with selected external design organizations, integrating GIS layers and key land data to enable automated compliance checks, while continuing to develop and test additional zoning rules with City staff to support faster, more accurate pre-application reviews; • Helped facilitate the 72 Avenue road widening project through linear acquisitions in consultation and collaboration with adjacent property owners; and • Completed site preparation works associated with the new Newton Recreation Centre including road dedications to connect the future site to King George Blvd, preparing the site
for construction and consolidating road and fee simple parcels into a single, larger site.
