PARKING AUTHORITY

ECONOMIC PROSPERITY & LIVELIHOODS

• Added eight public L2 charging ports utilizing Clean BC funding; • Achieved a year over year 80% increase in public EV charging network revenue; • Introduced Off-Street Pay Parking and EV Charging Regulation Bylaw which will regulate parking in City-owned off-street parking facilities and electric vehicle charging in off-street parking facilities and on City streets; • Restructured on-street and off-street budget to gain greater oversight of parking revenues and expenses based on site specific locations;

• Introduced on-street parking regulation policy to provide consistency and transparency which establishes guidelines for implementing on-street parking regulations that support operational efficiency, public safety, and accessibility; and • Successfully completed sale of 1,054 British Columbia Low Carbon Fuel Supplier credits resulting from City’s EV chargers, receiving $252,960 in revenue.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS

• Managed an inventory of 1,146 off street and 942 on-street paid parking spaces across the city; • Responded to 591 service requests addressing public concerns regarding parking regulations and operations; and

• Developed a two-phased bus shelter expansion program. Phase 1 includes 30 bus shelters at no cost to the City with Pattison providing 100% of the funding and phase 2 includes an additional 30 shelters funded through the Community Works Fund Agreement funding.
