Current total employment in Surrey, as of December 2025, is estimated to be 237,200 jobs. This includes total fixed workplace, no fixed workplace, home based businesses and those Surrey residents who work outside Canada. The graph below illustrates existing and projected total employment for the years 2020 through 2030. Over the last five years 10,800 jobs have been added in Surrey, representing an average annual growth rate of approximately 1.0%. Further employment growth of approximately 9,095 jobs is projected for the next five years, for an estimated 247,057 jobs by the end of 2030.
