HEALTH AND SAFETY SERVICES

The following health and safety services are provided by separate entities that are not part of the City of Surrey. However, the City works closely with each organization to provide these essential services to Surrey residents. HOSPITALS Surrey Memorial Hospital

Peace Arch Hospital Peace Arch Hospital provides a range of health care services including emergency, surgery, mental health and maternity care. The hospital has 201 beds including 159 acute care beds across all programs and a 42-bed Patient Assessment and Transition to Home (“PATH”) unit. The Peace Arch Hospital campus is home to two long-term care facilities, as well as a third facility located across the campus, together accommodating 304 residents. Surrey Memorial Hospital is the largest of three regional hospitals in Fraser Health’s integrated network of care, providing primary, secondary, and tertiary services, including 24/7 emergency, neurology, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology and critical care services. As a regional hospital for Fraser Health, as well as the home hospital for one of the province's fastest growing communities, Surrey Memorial Hospital is the second largest hospital in the province with the province's busiest emergency department. The hospital has 690 acute care beds across all programs. Surrey Memorial Hospital provides specialized care to people across Fraser Health.
