The New Surrey Hospital and BC Cancer Centre in Cloverdale Fraser Health is building a new hospital and BC Cancer Centre in Surrey to provide care closer to home for hundreds of thousands of people living and working in BC’s fastest-growing community and region. The first of its kind in BC, the new Surrey hospital and BC Cancer Centre will integrate digital and virtual care technologies to enable and support patient care inside – and outside – the physical hospital building, supporting thousands of patients every year. With a focus on planetary health, it will be one of the first fully electric hospitals in the province, and among the first in Canada.

The site will feature 168 in-patient beds, a surgical/perioperative suite with five operating rooms, four procedure rooms and an emergency department with 55 treatment spaces, and virtual care options in all clinical service areas. BC Cancer and Provincial Health Services Authority, in partnership with Fraser Health, is building the comprehensive, integrated cancer centre.

Urgent and Primary Care Centres Patients can visit an Urgent and Primary Care Centre ("UPCC") for urgent, non-life threatening illnesses and injuries when they are unable to see a family practitioner or access a walk-in clinic in a timely manner. A UPCC can also assess a patient's health care needs and help to connect them with the appropriate services at the UPCC or in the community. Long-Term Care Long-term care is available to adults who can no longer care for themselves or be cared for in their current home or situation. There are 25 long-term care homes across Surrey and the South Surrey-White Rock area. In total, there are approximately 1,500 long-term care beds in Surrey as well as 1,069 long-term care beds in the South Surrey–White Rock area.
