July–August Park Play surrey.ca/parkplay Drop in with your family and connect through nature and play. Borrow sporting equipment, play a lawn game, join a group game, and learn about park care. Park Play offers a variety of self-directed or staff-led park activities for families to enjoy!

July 24 Friday 6pm-8pm Coffee House Clayton Community Centre Doors open at 5:45pm

Admission is free, capacity is limited Sign up online and reserve your spot! The Clayton Coffee House is a performance opportunity for both aspiring and established poets, spoken-word artists, novelists, musicians, improvisers or comedians to share their work with the community.

August 8 Saturday 12pm–4pm Green Timbers Day

Step into summer’s rhythm! Sounds of Summer invites you to free outdoor concerts every Wednesday evening across Surrey’s open-air venues with two additional Friday afternoon concerts. Pack your picnic blanket, bring along friends and family, and let the music sweep you away. July–August Thursday 10am–2pm Discovery Days Surrey Nature Centre 14225 Green Timbers Way What will you discover at the Surrey Nature Centre? Start outside with one of our Interpreters and choose from a selection of self-guided activities; try one or try them all.Then head inside to check out our nature exhibition space and learn more about the plants and wildlife that live in Green Timbers Park. July–August Thursdays 4pm–7pm Family Game Nights Surrey Nature Centre 14225 Green Timbers Way Join us for free, drop-in family game nights. Enjoy a variety of games for all ages, or bring your own favourites! Light snacks will be available, along with self-guided outdoor activities like giant chess and scavenger hunts.

Explore the forest, meet the stewards and join the fun! Celebrate nature and community with Surrey Parks, the GreenTimbers Heritage Society and Surrey’s Natural Areas Partnership (SNAP). Enjoy nature-themed activities, music, lawn games and more.There’s something for everyone.

July 18 Saturday Youth Cooking Showdown surrey.ca/youth

Taking place at the Fusion Festival, theYouth Cooking Showdown sees youth competing in a head-to-head culinary battle to impress our all-star panel of judges.Youth must work successfully with their team in order to create a dish that incorporates a secret ingredient in order to be crowned the Cooking Showdown Champion.

Celebrate the harvest season at Darts Hill Garden Park! Come out for live music, crafts and other family-friendly activities including the chance to pick apples in the heritage orchard.
