STICK & PUCK, FIGURE SKATING AND ICE AND BALL HOCKEY

SKATE SHOP We offer skate and helmet rentals, plus skate sharpening available. SKATING AIDS Skating aids available to borrow at no charge. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome on the ice. Wheels must be clean. Participants are required to wear a helmet.

DROP-IN DRY FLOOR

Check the drop-in schedules for activities offered each season.

Check in with the front desk by the program start time at the latest to maintain reserved spot; advanced registration encouraged.

Bike and Wheels – Parent Participation 0–5yrs Check out this drop-in with your child. Kids can bring their own bike, scooter, skateboard or other wheels to practice in a safe, non structured environment. Parents/guardians 19yrs+ participation and helmets required. Equipment not provided. Helmets available to rent. Ball Hockey – Children 6–12yrs Come play in a fun, non contact game of ball hockey! Join up with other players or come with friends to form a team. All skill levels and abilities welcome. Hockey gloves, stick, runners and CSA approved helmet with full cage required. Equipment rentals not available. Ball Hockey –Youth 13–18yrs Get active in a fun non contact game of ball hockey! Join up with other players or come with friends to form a team. All skill levels and abilities welcome. Hockey gloves, stick, runners and CSA approved helmet with full cage required. Equipment rentals not available. Roller & Inline Skating All ages Get rolling with your inline or roller skates on the arena dry floor! Bring your own skates—rentals are not available. Children 12 and under must wear helmets. Helmet rentals are available. Everyone is welcome!

LEARN TO SKATE CONTINUUM

SNOWFLAKE 3–5YRS Trying to decide if Snowflake or Preschool Level 1 is a better fit? If your child is ready to go without a parent, register for Preschool Level 1. If they would benefit from support from a caregiver, register for Snowflake. No previous skating experience is needed for either level.

Please ensure you have registered your child in the correct level. If they are registered in a level they have not been progressed to or assessed at, they will be moved to the appropriate level as space permits or withdrawn from the program.

*All City of Surrey Hockey and Ringette program participants are required to wear a CSA certified hockey helmet. All City of Surrey Skating Lesson participants are required to wear a properly fitted helmet and strongly recommended to wear a CSA certified hockey or snow sports helmet.This includes parents in parent participation classes. Helmets are mandatory for all children 12 and under during public sessions. All participants 13 years and older are strongly recommended to wear a CSA certified helmet while on the ice during public sessions. Skate and helmet rentals are available.
