Conduit

Conduit Artist:

Debbie Westergaard Tuepah

Location: 84 Ave Bridge Category: Civic Collection Installed: 2026

Using designs of waves, trees, and creatures, this artwork celebrates the connection between the human and natural communities surrounding 84 Avenue Bridge. For all living things, healthy communication fosters healthy communities. In a sense, this bridge is like a conduit. People drive or walk over it, with or toward other humans. Using nature trails they experience King Creek and the area’s mammals, birds, fish, arthropods, reptiles, amphibians, plants, and trees. Each community with its own means of communication. Whether through signals, scents, sound or biological pathways, all are interconnected and interdependent.
