RECOMMENDATIONS

To host "Spooktacular" Halloween event on October 20, 2018, in Newton. The event includes many fun activities and a BBQ. To support Newton Days event to be held next summer to bring the Newton community together. The series of events will feature local vendors and performers. Funding towards pocket sized resource guides containing important contact information and small care packages for vulnerable women and girls in Surrey. Funding towards the free telephone support line program that provides counselling and information for women and their families suffering from post partum depression, anxiety and perinatal distress. Support towards a cat spay/neuter clinic (spring) and an animal health clinic (fall) Surrey for 2018, providing free veterinary care for pets of vulnerable, homeless and low income people.

Assist people with spinal cord injury and related physical disabilities through Peer Support and Information Services programs such as Cooking and Nutrition workshops and events. Hands on Cooking program designed for kids aged 8-12. The program encourages the importance of balanced nutrition, food preparation and healthy living and eating. The 2018 program includes children with special needs.
