POPULATION AND GROWTH STATISTICS
Surrey’s actual and projected annual population growth rate for each of the years from 2013 to 2022 is shown in the Annual Growth Rate Population figure below. While some annual fluctuation is likely, it is expected that Surrey’s population growth rate will average 1.84% per year over the next few years. Metro Vancouver’s Regional Growth Strategy estimate of Surrey’s growth rate is similar. Surrey’s share of growth in the region is projected to be approximately 26.6% making it the fastest growing municipality in Metro Vancouver.
