Find a Good Book at Your Local Library Stop by your local Surrey library for limitless entertainment (free of charge!) The library is a great place to learn a new topic or enjoy a fictional book. Stay cozy and warm at our library lounges with a book of your choice - or borrow a handful of books and bring them to the comfort of your home.

Did you know Surrey offers year-round fishing at Green Timbers Lake? Grab your fishing rod, jacket, and rain boots and enjoy a day on the lake - rain or shine - fishing for rainbow trout in a beautiful nature setting. Please note: All people age 16 years and older must possess a current Freshwater Fishing License.

We understand that your pet needs to be walked rain or shine, and that's why we have community dog off-leash parks where your dog can play with other furry-friends! Let your dog run around in the rain while you stay dry under your umbrella and socialize with other community members.

If it's too slippery to go for a bike ride in the rain, don't worry - our recreation facilities have you covered with fun, high- energy spin classes! View our city-wide fitness drop-in schedule for a range of convenient spin class times. Spin classes will help keep your fitness level in check while burning off many calories!

DID YOU KNOW? Did you know that we have child minding available for a small fee at many of our recreation facilities for kids up to 12 years old? Work out knowing that your child is engaged and having fun in a fully supervised and safe environment. Did you know that we have special value times set aside at many of our facilities? The price is discounted during this time, making it easier and more affordable to participate. Did you know that you can sign up early online for many of our most popular drop-in fitness classes and sports activities? Look for the check mark symbol and sign up as early as 9:00pm the night before. Did you know that renovations are now complete for both the Newton Seniors Centre and the Newton Recreation Centre? Both facilities are fully operational and ready to welcome you!
