 Legislative Services continued to work with the Planning Section to terminate the majority of Land Use Contracts by the end of 2017. We are on target to have over a 100 Land Use Contract Termination Bylaws adopted by Council by end of 2016; and  Worked in cooperation with IT and built an administrative process to establish a Corporate Decommissioning Protocol for Surrey’s applications and systems and documented it. This document is meant to guide the City through the process of retiring an application to

 Initiated City-wide forms-compliance review and began the implementation of the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (“CASL”) Compliance Policy to assist the City in ensuring compliance and minimizing unsolicited commercial electronic messages (“CEM”) as well as reducing electronic threats, like phishing, malware and spy- ware;  Corporate Records, registered and processed over 42,074 pieces of incoming correspondence, 1,067 boxes of records moved to off-site, 425 files retrieved from offsite, 590 boxes retrieved and 435 boxes destroyed;  Conducted 61 Privacy Impact Assessments to design privacy in to our project deliverables;

ensure all areas of retiring an application are reviewed and considered including its associated data and related dependencies.
