EDUCATION & CULTURE

 Improve accuracy and consistency of departmental information;  Promote education to the public regarding water meters;

 Ensure staff cross training is in place for critical roles in business units;  Develop video based training material that is repeatable; and  Facilitate staff professional development and training.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

 Assist with the development and implementation of the Community Service Portal into the City website. The Portal will provide comprehensive contact information and links to relevant services to underserved populations.

INFRASTRUCTURE

 Maintain sound purchasing practices and continue training on the Purchasing and Process Manual;  Develop an analysis tool that measures “triple bottom line” accountability;  Perform annual review of current policies;  Continue to manage debt;  Ensure sufficient reserves for equipment replacement costs;  Implement Data Driven Decision Making (“D3M”) Program which will include assessing and implementing enhanced reporting, dash boarding and analytical abilities to assist business areas in meeting City objectives;  Continue with releasing the Annual Corporate Audit Plan;  Review select financial streams to assess controls and provide recommendations for improvement;  Provide Continuous Departmental Pro- curement Awareness Training.

 Deliver an updated Smart Surrey Strategy to reflect how the City is using innovation to guide its development as the region’s second metropolitan core. The updated Strategy will demonstrate how technology and innovation are being used to shape the City at all levels, to inform decision-making, create efficiencies and optimize the effectiveness of City resources, leading to sustainable economic development and high quality of life;  Implement a new Parks, Recreation and Culture (“PRC”) Management System to streamline the planning and delivery of registered programs, passes, admis- sions and rentals to the Surrey Community; and  Improve the overall level of Cyber Security awareness among City staff, through the introduction of an annual Cyber Security Awareness campaign. Continue to invest in advanced security technologies to further increase the City’s overall level of protection against cyber security threats.
