ECONOMIC PROSPERITY & LIVELIHOODS

 Completed a comprehensive audit review of technical specifications for a major apparatus to better align with updated corporate procurement guidelines.

ECOSYSTEMS

 Published 13 research articles and/or papers illustrating the evidence-based

 Worked with Engineering to expand the recycling program to include all Fire halls in the City of Surrey; and

decision-making used for strategic planning and emergency services activity.

EDUCATION & CULTURE

 Joint award recipient with the City:

 The 2016 Professional Development Award by the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators for the publication: The Right Decision: Evidence Based Decision Making for Government Professionals.

 The 2016 Award for Collaborative Excellence by the Canadian Collaborating Centre for Injury Prevention with regards to the BC Working Smoke Alarm Campaign; and

HEALTH & WELLNESS

 Continued to refine the Attendance Management Program that resulted in achieving a 62% perfect attendance.

INFRASTRUCTURE

 Developed and distributed the ‘Disaster Recovery’ toolkit for use on scene at ESS Level 1 at reception centre activations; and  Engaged in an evaluation of predictive analysis software to maintain the effectiveness of the program in optimally deploying resources to the City’s service demands.

 Improved the efficiency of the City’s Emergency Social Services response capabilities between the Fire Services Department and the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department:  Established working relationship between PRC managers and ESS support staff;  Developed coordination between media team and Emergency Program;
