RECREATION SURREYRecreation Surrey

GO FISH! Experience the excitement of fishing in the heart of the city! Surrey offers a few great spots for recreational fishing and hosts educational programs for those who are new to the sport. You can fish year round at Green Timbers Lake which is stocked with rainbow trout. A freshwater fishing licence is required. Check out the free rod loan program at the Surrey Nature Centre where you can borrow a fishing rod and tackle box for up to a week. Rods are available all year on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also fish straight from the Surrey Public Wharf or from the sandy beach at Brownsville Bar park. For both of these locations, a tidal fishing licence is required.
