LEARN TO SKATE CONTINUUM

STICK & PUCK, FIGURE SKATING AND ICE AND BALL HOCKEY

SKATE SHOP We offer skate and helmet rentals, plus skate sharpening available. SKATING AIDS Skating aids available to borrow at no charge. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome on the ice. Wheels must be clean. Participants are required to wear a helmet.

SNOWFLAKE 3–5YRS Trying to decide if Snowflake or Preschool Level 1 is a better fit? If your child is ready to go without a parent, register for Preschool Level 1. If they would benefit from support from a caregiver, register for Snowflake. No previous skating experience is needed for either level.

Please ensure you have registered your child in the correct level. If they are registered in a level they have not been progressed to or assessed at, they will be moved to the appropriate level as space permits or withdrawn from the program. Not sure what level to register in? Contact arenaprograms@surrey.ca to set up an assessment.

Check in with the front desk by the program start time at the latest to maintain reserved spot; advanced registration encouraged.

HOCKEY GEAR This list of full hockey equipment is REQUIRED for all of our Registered Hockey Programs

Sensory Friendly Skates Skates are inclusive skating times for individuals and families looking for an environment with reduced noise.They are available for those who are autistic, have anxiety or other sensory processing needs, or anyone who feels they would benefit from a more supportive environment. Reduced noise and no background music. Reduced lighting in lobby. Encouraged use of paper towels instead of hand dryers using signage. Designated sensory friendly dressing rooms. Set clear times and transition warnings. Additional staff available for support.
