POSITIVELY PARENTING SERIES Join the City of Surrey, in partnership with the Alexandra Neighbourhood House, for a free positive parenting series! Informative 4-week series for parents and caregivers that explores the power of connection and how it can support in day-to-day parenting.

PARENT & PRESCHOOLER

Stay and Play 0–5yrs Preregistration required. On site registration if spaces still available. Provides parents and children opportunities for free play and interaction with others in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where all can participate. Guided activities may include, parachute games, ride on toys, music and movement and active games. An adult must participate in this program and is responsible for the supervision of their child(ren) at all times.

Over the course of the series, topics explored include:

Explore grants and resources to help put your plans into action! Visit the website to learn more about upcoming sessions and available resources and opportunities, including: Neighbourhood Enhancement Grants Make a positive impact in your neighbourhood by working together with your neighbours on community projects. Apply for up to $3,000 through the Neighbourhood Enhancement Grant to bring your ideas to life. Surrey residents, community groups, businesses, and associations are all eligible to apply. Borrow a Neighbourhood Cleanup Kit Make your neighbourhood shine! Borrow a free cleanup kit that includes litter pickers, safety vests, and collection bags. This program is available to all residents, businesses and schools! Borrow a Neighbourhood Event Kit Make your next neighbourhood event a big success! Planning a block party, festival, outdoor music party, neighbourhood cleanup, or art jam? Borrow a kit with tents, tables, lawn games, and a portable sound system. Kits are available from March 1 to September 30.

Borrow an Active PLAYces kit for a week from a participating facility. Active PLAYces kits aim to reduce barriers to play by providing access to equipment and resources to keep active!
