Whether you're planning a festival, cultural celebration, market, or public gathering, Surrey’s Festival & Event SupportTeam (FEST) is here to help guide you through the process and ensure your event is a success. What you need to know to get started: 1 Check the City’s special event requirements Before you get started in filling out an application, check that your event qualifies as a special event under the Special Events Bylaw No. 14731. If your event is in a park, it must also comply with Parks Bylaw No. 13480.

Complete the Community Event Hosting Application online at least 90 days before your proposed event date. For complex events, submit at least 120 days in advance.

Once all league and club bookings on synthetic turf fields have been allocated, all other requests are considered on a on a first-come, first-served basis. Please e-mail bookafield@surrey.ca or call 604-501-5174 to book these fields. For information on synthetic turf fields, field closures and all other matters concerning outdoor sports facilities: surrey.ca/parks-recreation.

To ensure your event meets all criteria, your application will be reviewed by the FEST committee that meets monthly.They may contact you for additional information or clarification.

5 Pay for your permit

Once approved, you’ll receive instructions on how to pay for your event permit. Fees vary depending on the size and nature of your event.

Surrey Schools Gym & Field Bookings Surrey school gyms and outdoor sports fields are allocated through the School Board office. Call 604-595-6084 for booking information.
