SELECT WAITLIST based on location and swim levels. 2. WAITLIST your child/youth in the course and answer the questionnaire. You can waitlist at multiple locations. 3. Staff will email you if a spot is available and provide instructions to complete an online participant profile form. 4. Your spot will be secured once your profile form is completed and registration payment has been received.

PROGRAM

DESCRIPTION

AGES

Preschoolers learn how to get in and out of the water, put their face in the water, blow bubbles, float and glide. Preschool 1 is a transitional level where the preschooler transfers to the care of the instructor. As swimmers progress they will grab objects from underwater, be in deep water and work on kicking.

PRESCHOOL 1–2 OCTOPUS/CRAB

4–5yrs

Preschoolers learn how to be in deep water while wearing a PFD and progress on their floats, glides and kicking. As they master these skills, front crawl will be introduced. Recommended: completed Swim Preschool 2 or 3.

PRESCHOOL 3–4 ORCA/SEA LION

4–5yrs

Beginner swimmers will become comfortable in the water with and without help. Children will work on their floats, glides and kicking skills. After these skill are mastered, swimmers learn to be comfortable in deep water and falling sideways into the water while wearing a PFD.

SWIMMER 1 CHILDREN

5–12yrs

Swimmers become increasingly comfortable in the water without help. Children will work on their floats, glides and kicking skills. Once mastered, swimmers are introduced to front and back crawl, whip kick and Water Smart activities.

SWIMMER 2 CHILDREN

5–12yrs

Children learn how to dive, somersault and handstand to develop weight-transfer skills.They will learn Swim to Survive® standards, whip kick on their back and develop front and back crawl. Once these skills are completed they will learn how to dive, tread water and swim underwater, do front and back crawl and how to breaststroke. Recommended: completed level 2 or 3.

SWIMMER 3–4 CHILDREN

5–12yrs

Children will learn diving, swimming in deep water, developing their egg beater kick and breaststroke, and front and back crawl. Swimmers will also improve their head-up swims and interval training and do a 300m workout to gain strength and endurance.
