Surrey’s actual and projected annual population growth rate for each of the years from 2015 to 2024 is shown in the figure to the right. While some annual fluctuation is likely, it is expected that Surrey’s population growth rate will average 2.42% per year over the next five years. Surrey’s share of growth in the region in the next 5 years is projected to be approximately 42%, making it one of the fastest growing municipalities in Metro Vancouver.
