Hi-Knoll Park 19569 Colebrook Road The land for this park was gifted to the City in 1974 by Doris Kathleen Skelton. Doris loved the land so much that she passed it on as a park for us explore and appreciate long into the future. The park offers a scenic nature trail walk through forest and meadow habitats. The walk is 1.5 km long and takes about 30 minutes. Please note: during the rainy season, the entire area north of the Nicomekl bridge becomes inaccessible due to flooding.
This meadow and seasonal swamp is where ducks and swallows gather next to the Nicomekl River. It's a great spot for birdwatching! In the southern section lies an undisturbed wooded area, one of the few places in the Lower Mainland where the endangered White Fawn Lily blooms in spring. If you're lucky enough to find its delicate white or pink flowers, please don't pick them - they are becoming increasingly rare in the park.
