ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Drawing from the corporate sustainability actions outlined in the original Sustainability Charter and aligned with the City’s Values and the eight themes of the new Charter, the following are a select few of the City of Surrey’s corporate strategic objectives and initiatives:

Successfully deliver a SkyTrain extension along Fraser Highway to Fleetwood. Update the Community Climate Action Strategy to align with best-practice GHG emissions reduction targets.

Maximize external revenues sources by identifying and responding to all grant opportunities. Develop and implement an infrastructure/asset management plans.

Review the City’s Budgeting Processes to ensure they are in line with best practices. Promote the expansion of Continuous Improvement culture in the organization.

Establish a Long Term Remote Working Framework. Develop a Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. Continue to ensure that sufficient procedures and supports are in place to protect and assist the City’s workforce.
