Implementation

Municipalities in British Columbia are required by legislation to prepare an OCP to guide decisions on planning and land use management. The OCP establishes broad policy objectives and land use designations that set the direction for all related bylaws, plans and strategies, and rezoning applications. Effective implementation of the OCP will ensure that the broad vision identified within will guide Surrey’s long-term growth and development.

Part E: Implementation describes the OCP’s alignment with Provincial and Regional governance. It outlines additional planning tools and procedures utilized to implement the OCP’s vision.
