2.2 Provide greater transportation choice.

2.2.2

Establish and complete a core cycling network that is connected and safe.

2.2.1 Improve pedestrian safety and comfort through design strategies, including:

Ensuring sidewalks are built to current standards; Increasing mid-block crossing opportunities where appropriate; Expanding crosswalks where warranted; and Managing vehicle speeds and volumes on local roads and in neighbourhoods.

2.2.3

Locate bicycle and micromobility supportive facilities near rapid transit stations, bus exchanges and appropriate locations along transit corridors. Implement the Sidewalk Action Plan that prioritizes safe and accessible pedestrian access to schools, bus stops and rapid transit stations, parks and daily needs such as grocery stores.
