Textile Workshop: Yarn Bomb Knitting

Join the quiet and colourful yarn bomb revolution that has been embraced by crochet and knitting artists of all ages, nationalities, and genders. Textile artist Gloria Villamil will describe the history of this global phenomenon and how to create and responsibly display a temporary yarn installation right here in South Surrey! Participants will use pre-knit and upcycled textile pieces as well as create their own contributions. Installation pieces will be taken down and used again for future projects.
