Adult Programs For adults who are looking to try something new or learn another skill, Recreation Surrey has a variety of general interest classes. Learn a new language, take a cooking class, explore your artistic side, or try a new style of dancing. Fall provides a wealth of options across the City. Who knows?You may find a new hobby.

NEWTON RECREATION CENTRE 13730 72 Avenue  604-501-5540 Newton Recreation Centre, formerly known as the NewtonWave Pool is open seven days a week and offers free parking, child minding services, freeWi-Fi and is conveniently located next to the Newton bus loop.This facility contains the only Olympic sized mat room in all of Surrey’s recreation centres for sport specific training in wrestling, karate and kabaddi.This fully accessible facility offers registered and drop-in programs for everyone in the community from preschool to seniors.

Office Hours Monday/Wednesday 6am–10pm Tuesday/Thursday 6am–9:30pm Friday/Saturday 6am–9pm Sunday/Holidays 8am–8pm Child minding available. Check for times at front desk or online.

Fitness Studio: 3,000 square feet of floor space on a wood sprung floor yoga mats, yoga blocks, stability balls, Bosu balls, step blocks, resistance bands and hand weights 19 TRX training stations Indoor Cycling Studio: drop-in and registered classes

Preschool: one preschool classroom for licensed year-long preschool outdoor play ground plus six off site locations Children: MYzone /MYgame October  -  June M to F Plus, two offsite locations in Newton see pages 62 and 67.

NEWTON SENIORS CENTRE 13775 70 Avenue  604-501-5010 The Newton Seniors Centre is a multipurpose facility with a dedicated Senior’s lounge, cafeteria, auditorium with stage, fitness & wellness areas, multipurpose & activity rooms, a computer lab and billiards room. Open six days a week, this fully accessible facility has free parking, freeWi-Fi and offers a variety of registered and drop-in programs for everyone in the community from preschool to seniors.
