Exploring SURREY'S PARKS Birding Walks All Ages Discover Surrey’s birds on a guided tour led by a local naturalist. Improve your identification skills and find answers to your birding questions! Rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and bring a pair of binoculars if you have them (we will have some to lend out).

Meet at the parking lot on the north side of Colebrook Road. 9am–11am Blackie Spit Park 3136 McBride Avenue Look for ducks, shorebirds and more while enjoying amazing views of Boundary Bay. Meet at the gravel parking lot at the north end of McBride Avenue. Discovery Days Kick start your nature adventures outside with guided activities in the park, then head in to explore the Sky Room drop in space. Serpentine Wildlife Management Area 14246 44 Avenue Walk along the grassy dyke trails while scanning the open water for migrating waterfowl. From King George Boulevard, turn west onto 44 Avenue and proceed to the parking lot on the left. 9am–11am Hawthorne Rotary Park 10503 144 Street Enjoy shaded forests, flower gardens and a pond. NEIGHBOURHOOD ENHANCEMENT GRANT Apply for the City’s Neighbourhood Enhancement Grant for financial support for your project! All Surrey residents, community groups, businesses and associations can apply. NEIGHBOURHOOD EVENT EQUIPMENT Make your next neighbourhood event a big success! If you’re planning something like a block party, festival, outdoor music, neighbourhood clean-up or art jam, you can borrow a tent, tables, lawn games and even a portable sound system.
