RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES In addition to our indoor recreational facilities, the City of Surrey offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. Get out and explore our nature trails and gardens, public tennis courts, youth parks, water parks, bike trails and more and stay active for life.

BIKE PARKS South Surrey Athletic Park offers an excellent trail network for beginners all the way to advanced riders. Enthusiasts will also enjoy Latimer Lake ParkTrails, while younger kids will double their fun at the Fun Fun Park PumpTrack. DOG OFF-LEASH AREAS Blackie Spit Park is located near the sandy shores of Crescent Beach. Dogwood Park offers a small dog area and forested off- leash walking trails. Wills Brook Park is a fully fenced off-leash area next to Wills Brook Park. With one acre of open space, the new Nicomekl Off-leash Area is accessible from the multi-use pathway at 3435 150 Street. OUTDOOR POOLS Sunnyside Pool, offering free public swims and registered swim classes, is a popular summertime destination for people of all ages. Check online for dates and operating hours. PICKLEBALL /TENNIS Check to see what public outdoor courts are located in your neighbourhood. Some are lit for night time use until 10:30pm. For more information visit surrey.ca/tennis-pickleball. GARDENS Display Gardens The Glades Woodland Garden and Darts Hill Garden Park are two unique gardens gifted to the City of Surrey. Visit the gardens on for an opportunity to see the unique plants, shrubs and trees these gardens are known for. Community Gardens: Dunsmuir Community Gardens are located on a portion of Blackie Spit Park that was acquired by the City in 1974. For more information or to get involved, visit surrey.ca/ South Surrey is home to a wide variety of nature trails winding through towering forests, meadows, and the bay shores. You’re guaranteed to spot many types of interesting wildlife— maybe even a black-tailed deer—as you meander through the scenic paths through Elgin Heritage Park, Redwood Park, SemiahmooTrail, Serpentine Wildlife Management Area and Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park. YOUTH PARKS South Surrey Athletic Parks offers a skate park, bike park, as well as soccer, football, rugby, baseball, tennis and volleyball facilities.
