REGISTERED PROGRAMS NEAR YOU Along with our arts & cultural centres, the city offers numerous registered arts programs this season in recreation centres and community centres near you. Check out what is offered this season at these participating centres.

We will be adding a new section to the Arts & Culture Map that focuses on Surrey’s cultural organizations. The City of Surrey is interested in having your organization shown on this map.You can register it at the link above. Surrey's Arts & Culture Map is an example of the work we're doing as part of our Creative Economy in our city. PUBLIC ART IN SURREY Discover public art in Surrey's parks and along pathways, SkyTrain pillars, and historic streets. Over 100 public artworks are completed. More are added every year. Throughout Surrey, you'll find interactive and illuminated contemporary sculptures, engraved boulders, colourful mosaics, and much more. Surrey's Public Art Program brings art into the daily lives of Surrey's citizens.

THUNDERBEING by Roxanne Charles This playful work at the Clayton Community Centre brings to life the spirit of theThunderbird, an important aspect of Salish culture. To gain the spirit of theThunderbird involved immense dedication and training to promote transformation and personal growth. This work honours Charles’s late great-grandfather who was said to possess the spirit of the Thunderbird. Charles is a mixed media artist, curator, and cultural historian from Semiahmoo First Nation.
