Experience the beauty of fall in Surrey parks. Walk along one of our many nature trails surrounded by the colours of changing leaves. Connect with nature through a wide range of volunteer opportunities, programs and events. NEW & IMPROVED PARKS We are continually working to ensure our parks and trails are well-designed and maintained to meet the needs of our growing community. This includes the creation of new parks, as well as the improvement of existing parks. Check out one of these recently opened or improved parks this fall: HAWTHORNE ROTARY PARK 10513 144 Street Play on the new sport court at this neighbourhood park.You also find a water park, large playground, multiple picnic tables, as well as washrooms and changing rooms. Explore the new playground at this neighbourhood park.This park also offers many nature trails in a vast forest, washrooms, and one of the Lower Mainland's premier bike parks. CLOVERDALE ATHLETIC PARK 6330 168 Street Water Re-use Project Learn about the City’s innovative project at Cloverdale Athletic Park that re-uses the water captured from the spray park to water street trees, control dust, and sweep streets.The water collects into a 76,000 liter tank—enough to fill 1.5 swimming pools—then connects to a fill-up station. CARE FOR OUR URBAN FOREST Surrey’s urban forest has over 80,000 street trees and 3,800 acres of natural areas. Volunteer to care for them by removing invasive plants, planting trees, improving tree wells and more. All ages Get your hands dirty removing invasive plants to help restore and enhance our parks! HELP KEEP YOUR PARKS CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL When you visit a Surrey park, make sure you pack out all of your waste. This includes food wrappers, scraps, and packaging, including take-out containers and pizza boxes. Make sure to Pack It In, Pack it Out!
