VOLUNTEERING IN SURREY’S PARKS

Get outdoors and enjoy nature in a Surrey park this fall. Surrey is home to over 800 parks, each offering something special. Stroll along scenic trails, picnic in open lawn areas, or marvel at protected natural areas dedicated to biodiversity. With so many parks and green spaces, there’s something for everyone to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature in Surrey. NEW & IMPROVED We are continually working to ensure our parks and trails are well-designed and maintained to meet the needs of our growing community. Check out one of our newly opened or recently improved parks this fall: GUILDFORD HEIGHTS PARK 10310 152 Street | Guildford Located in the south of the park along 101A Ave, come and enjoy the expanded and upgraded playground at this park.

Learn valuable skills like pruning, weeding, and more. No experience needed—everyone is welcome. Tools and training provided. Bear Creek Lights Event Assistant 16yrs+ Volunteer as an event assistant at this year’s Bear Creek Lights event! Develop confidence and leadership skills as you help behind the scenes, facilitate activities, and guide guests through the light displays. Applications close September 28

Surrey’s urban forest has over 110,000 shade trees and 4,200 acres of natural areas. School Park Cleanups Care for a local park this school year with the help of Surrey Parks! We provide the tools and instructions. At the end of the school year, participating classes are entered to win prizes. Together we can make a difference and build a greener, healthier, and safer community. Fall is a great time to start a year-long study of your local plants.
