DROP-IN Events Filipino Fest Saturday, September 6 11am–4pm Come celebrate Filipino culture at Museum of Surrey with performances, vendors, crafts, textile displays, and aTagalog and English storytelling session. Scavenger Hunt – Back to School September 9–14 Operating hours Explore the Museum as we start a new school year. Learn about the first schools in Surrey and how education has evolved over the years. Textile Dye Garden Saturday, October 4 1pm–4pm Learn about local and Indigenous plants used for textiles and dyeing. Tour the garden and see demonstrations of spinning and weaving.

School’s Out Drop-in: Hockey Friday, October 24 10am–1pm Explore the new feature exhibit at the Museum. Play hockey, complete a scavenger hunt about Surrey Athletes, and make a sporty craft to take home. BOO-seum Saturday, October 25 1pm–4pm Celebrate a spook-tacular Halloween with Raj, dressed in his Halloween best! Bring the whole family to Museum of Surrey, make sustainable crafts, play ghostly games, dress up in crazy costumes, and go on a spooky scavenger hunt. Sensory Trick or Treat Friday, October 30 4pm–8pm Join us for silly Halloween fun! No scares, no pressure, just treats, crafts, activities and more. Costumes optional. The sensory friendly room and sensory kits will be available. Don’t forget your trick or treat bag.

The OnesWe Met September 2 – December 21 I ND I GENOUS HAL L GAL LERY Discover the vital role of Qaujimajatuqangit—Inuit traditional knowledge—in uncovering the fate of the Franklin Expedition, which set sail in 1845 to chart a Northwest Passage. Developed by the Canadian Museum of History in partnership with the Inuit HeritageTrust, this travelling exhibition showcases Inuit oral histories, archaeological discoveries, and an animated map that brings the story to life.

Our Connection to Hockey October 14 – April 26 FEATURE GAL LERY Hockey has a special power to unite people from all walks of life, building a strong sense of community. Come join us for an engaging, hands-on experience that honours our shared love of hockey, highlights the sport’s rich diversity, and showcases what’s happening in hockey right here at home. Take a shot on our hockey rink, try sitting in a para ice hockey sled, or snap a photo beside memorabilia from hockey legends.

Fleet of Memory: CanadianWarships

Remembered as Models September 9 – December 21 COMMUN I TY TREASURES GAL LERY Admire intricately hand-crafted scale models of Canadian Navy warships no longer in existence, brought to life alongside archival photographs, personal memorabilia, and firsthand stories from Surrey resident Yvon Lehoux, who served on two of the ships featured in the display.
