SFS Annual Report 2025

Personal Protective Equipment Each fire suppression team member is provided with designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). It is essential to have ample supply of spare PPE gear readily available for immediate deployment during fire responses, especially in cases where gear requires repairs or cleaning after exposure to an incident. Launched in 2022, as one of the outlined wellness initiatives, a multi-year strategy was introduced to enhance the availability of spare PPE gear. The goal was to increase the existing 34% availability, which provided 125 sets for 364 members, to a point where each member would be assigned their own set of spare PPE gear. Spare PPE gear availability currently stands at 89% for all members, with 41.2% of members assigned their own set of spare PPE gear.
