Health and Wellness Surrey Fire Services continues to prioritize the wellness of its members. There is a spectrum of services and programs that are available for all employees, designed to support both physical and mental well-being.
Preventative Health Screening Program
An annual medical screening program for staff has been implemented to assist in prevention and early identification of health issues. The screening consists of blood and urine analysis, cardiovascular stress testing and education on cancer prevention.
2026 Initiatives Firefighter Recruitment
J Increase the percentage of diverse staff within the Operations Division.
Occupational Health and Safety J Raise awareness to prevent physical injuries and advocate for physical fitness and wellness in both professional and personal life.
Targeted Health and Wellness Initiatives J Coordinate and implement a targeted medical screening and education program for all staff members.
Staff Communication and Development J Modernize operational policies and manuals and create a review cycle for future updates. J Provide ongoing educational opportunities to exempt staff to support continued growth and development in labour relations.
