Othello Tunnels, Hell’s Gate, and Bridal Falls

APRIL

The Othello Tunnels are a series of five tunnels originally built for railway access. There are spectacular viewing opportunities on the trail, through the tunnels and on the bridges. The guided gentle hike of 3.5 km takes approximately one hour to complete. Lunch will be on the Fraser River at Simon’s Cafe. Enjoy Hell’s Gate, the fully suspended gondola as it passes over the most treacherous section of the Fraser River. This up-close experience of the Fraser Canyon and the immensely powerful Fraser River is truly awe-inspiring. There is a homemade fudge shop and ice cream parlour if you have saved room. On our way home, we will stop at Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park. A short walk will take us to the waterfall that cascades down the rocks. It is an easy walk of less than one km and well worth the views. Tour includes a guided walk through the Othello Tunnels, admission to Hell’s Gate Air Tram, and lunch at Simon’s Café.
