HOW TO REGISTER FOR SWIM LESSONS If you’re looking for swim lessons for preschool or children, just pick a date and time that works for you through the online portal. Aquatic Leadership courses available at select dates, times and locations only; go to surrey.ca/lifeguard to see what is offered this season.

Register for a Swim Class Avoid the line, register online! We offer free Wi-Fi at all recreation facilities. Select Swim Lessons from the main activities page Narrow your search by age, level, location, days of the week or date range. Available courses will show number of spots available. Click REGISTER. Course is full if you see WAIT-LIST. Click to be added to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified by phone or email.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSON Sign up for the individualized instruction offered through private swim lessons. Proof of grade 12 completion

BCRPA Fitness Theory Course & Exam Emergency First Aid with CPR C and AED Register as a Fitness Student with the BCRPA

STEP 4

Take the Aquatic Fitness Core Specialty Module

STEP 5

Complete your practicum and pass your Instructor Competency Exam (ICE) Congratulations you are a BCRPA Registered Aquatic Fitness Leader 6 months relevant experience in a community setting You are now qualified to apply with the City of Surrey as a Aquafit Instructor

Grow and develop your skillset with staff training that includes continuing education credits (CECs). Receive regular mentorship and coaching from qualified supervisors. Ability to work at multiple locations.

STEP 9

Accepted alternative certifications include:
