DROP-IN Events Métis: Children of the Fur Trade Saturday, April 12 12pm–4pm Come explore the unique and enriching Métis heritage by learning about current Easter Scavenger Hunt April 15–20 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday Celebrate all things spring at this drop-in. Meet the friendly Easter bunny, and have a hopping good time at the Museum. Operating hours and historical traditions with performances, speakers, and artisans.
THE TD EXPLORE ZONE This area offers interactive learning through fun activities, teaching kids about Surrey's environments and sustainability. Open during Museum hours on a drop-in bases.
Cedar, Sage and Sweetgrass Saturday, May 3 12pm–5pm Experience an Indigenous Art Show with art for sale and live performances. Explore beautiful works in painting, carving, beading, and more by talented artists. Textile Dye Garden Open House Saturday, May 3 1pm–4pm Learn about local and Indigenous plants used for textiles and dyeing.Tour the garden and see demonstrations of spinning and weaving. Kent Street Players at the Museum Thursday, June 5 2pm–3pm The Kent Street PlayersTheatre Group is an all-senior ensemble who creates, directs and performs. They will be presenting two lively plays in the Museum’s lobby during Senior’s Week. Don't miss it!

Join a fun event designed to support participants with autism. Kids can make crafts, get their face painted and enjoy the sensory play station! Sensory kits will be available free of charge, as well as a Sensory friendly room. Father's Day Stay and Play Sunday, June 15 1pm–3pm Celebrate Father's Day at the Museum! Enjoy a refreshment, play oversized board games, do a scavenger hunt and make a craft together as a souvenir of the day.

Online Speaker Series: A Métis Story Wednesday, June 25
School's Out Drop-in: Oceans Friday, May 2
12pm–1pm
Registration required Led by a Métis Speaker, discuss stories about Métis identity, history cultural awareness. Find new ways to say ‘thanks’ to the land, sea and sky we walk on.
10am–1pm
Prepare for the new feature exhibit at the Museum. Play some ocean-based games, complete a scavenger hunt and make a craft to take home. Guardian/caregiver participation required.
