April 24 – April 27 Friday – Monday City Nature Challenge surrey.ca/communityscience April 24 – 27: Take and upload photos of wild plants and animals. April 28 – May 10: Help identify what was found. Join our annual Surrey City Nature Challenge! This fun, global event invites you to observe and record the variety of plants and animals in our city. From your backyard, balcony, or local park, celebrate nature this spring and help showcase Surrey’s incredible natural diversity to the world.

Connect with passionate volunteers, local naturalists, and wildlife groups protecting our green spaces. Enjoy forest fairy adventures, nature crafts, face painting, live music and more.

Learn about local and Indigenous plants used for textiles and dyeing.Tour the garden and see demonstrations of spinning and weaving.

Invasive species impact our everyday lives but there are easy actions that we can take to make a big impact. Join us in celebrating Invasive Species Action Month and learn how you can make a difference in protecting Surrey’s natural spaces all year long.

Environment Superheroes Museum of Surrey Explore superheroes in our environment with activities and crafts! Enjoy this ‘green’ day as we welcome our newest feature exhibit at the Museum. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
