Lace up those Skates! Surrey’s arenas are the place to learn to skate, play hockey, figure skate or just have fun at one of our family skating events. We host recreational hockey leagues for children aged 6–13 years and adults 19 years and up. Pick up a drop-in schedule at a facility near you, or look online.

Public Skating All Ages Lace up your skates and enjoy some time on the ice. All ages and abilities are welcome. Come as a family and get the family rate (per person). Equipment rentals available. Helmets mandatory for children 0-12yrs. Skating – Parent Participation 0–5yrs Enjoy some time on the ice with your preschooler. The ice is shared with skating lessons that are happening at the same time. Parents/ guardians 19yrs+ must be on the ice with their child. Equipment rentals available. Skating –Youth 13–18yrs Glide into our youth only skate time! Bring your friends or make new ones on the ice. Equipment rentals available. Skating – Adult Enjoy adult-only skating. All skill levels welcome. Equipment rentals available. Figure Skating – Child 6–12yrs Jump into this shared program time designed for young figure skaters. All skill levels welcome. CSA approved helmets required. Adults or coaches are not required to be on ice but are welcome to supervise. Coaches limited to instruct up to three children per session and must be registered.

Figure Skating – Youth 13–18yrs Spin into this shared program time to practice your figure skating moves. All skill levels welcome. CSA approved helmets required. Adults or coaches are not required to be on ice but are welcome to supervise. Coaches on the ice must register and can instruct up to three youth per session. Figure Skating – Adult Practice your figure skating moves! Participants must share music and space. All skill levels welcome. Participants must wear figure skates. Advanced reservation encouraged. Stick & Puck – Parent Participation 0–5yrs Introduce your preschooler to the fun of hockey in a relaxed, non instructional setting! This program lets little ones enjoy the sport while a parent or guardian 19yrs+ stays on the ice with them. Basic gear—including a helmet with cage, neck guard, and hockey gloves—is required. Foam pucks will be provided. Stick & Puck – Child 0–12yrs Have your child practice their hockey or ringette skills during this non instructional time. Full gear required for children 0-12yrs. Parents or guardians 19yrs+ are welcome to participate but are not required to.Youth 13-18 years old cannot participate in this session. Helmet, gloves and skates required for adults 19yrs+. Equipment rentals are not available. With limited spots available, advanced reservation is encouraged.

Limited to 20 players and two goalies. Goalies play for free. Ice Hockey – Women 19yrs+ Lace up and drop into a women's only recreational non-contact hockey game. Full hockey gear required. All skill levels welcome. No slap shots allowed. Ice Hockey – 40+ A great way to fit in a recreational, non contact game of hockey! Full hockey gear required. All skill levels welcome. No slap shots allowed. Limited to 20 players and two goalies. Goalies play for free. Ice Hockey – 60+ Come and enjoy a scrimmage in this fun, low-key, non-contact hockey game as a player. Full hockey gear required. All skill levels welcome. No slap shots allowed. Limited to 26 players and two goalies. Goalies play for free.
