DROP-IN Events Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt March 31 to April 4 Family Visit from the Easter Bunny on Saturday April 4 only! Closed Friday April 3 Celebrate all things spring at the Museum. Complete a special Easter Scavenger Hunt with your young ones and enjoy a fun prize! Schools’ Out – Environment Superheroes Friday, May 1 10am–1pm Explore superheroes in our environment with activities and crafts! Enjoy this ‘green’ day as we welcome our newest feature exhibit at the Museum. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Métis: Children of the Fur Trade Saturday, May 30 Come explore the unique and enriching Métis heritage by learning about current and historical traditions with performances, speakers, and artisans. Father’s Day Stay and Play Sunday, June 14 1pm–3pm Celebrate Father’s Day at the Museum! Enjoy a refreshment, play oversized board games, do a scavenger hunt and make a craft together as a souvenir of the day. Sensory Fun at the Museum Saturday, June 20 12pm–4pm Join a fun event designed to support participants with autism. Kids can make crafts, get their face painted and enjoy the sensory play station! Sensory kits will be available free of charge, as well as a Sensory friendly room. 12pm–4pm

Cedar, Sage and Sweetgrass Saturday, May 2 12pm–5pm Experience an Indigenous Art Show with art for sale and live performances. Explore beautiful works in painting, carving, beading, and more by talented artists. Textile Dye Garden Open House Saturday, May 2 1pm–4pm Learn about local and Indigenous plants used for textiles and dyeing.Tour the garden and see demonstrations of spinning and weaving. Sensory Friendly Sunday May 3, June 7 10am–12pm Explore the museum during set hours for neurodivergent individuals, families and caregivers. There will be reduced audio and light levels, sensory kits available and a quiet room.

INDIGENOUS HALL GALLERY Sharing Stories

February 10 – June 21 Explore an exhibition of art from the Cedar Sage and Sweetgrass Indigenous Art Collective.These contemporary artists blend traditional knowledge with modern themes and techniques, creating powerful expressions of culture and identity. Through their work, they reclaim heritage, explore personal and collective experiences, confront colonial histories, advocate for social justice, and share their stories with the world.

COMMUNITY TREASURES GALLERY Journeys in Care: Stories From Nurses of Indian Heritage

March 17 – July 19 Explore remarkable journeys shared by nurses of Indian heritage, tracing their paths from migration and education to the adversity they’ve faced and the leadership roles they’ve claimed.Through interviews and personal narratives, witness the legacy they’ve created in healthcare and the inspiration they offer to future generations.
