POSITIVELY PARENTING SERIES
PARENT & PRESCHOOLER
Stay and Play 0–5yrs Preregistration required. On site registration if spaces still available. Provides parents and children opportunities for free play and interaction with others in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where all can participate. Guided activities may include, parachute games, ride on toys, music and movement and active games. An adult must participate in this program and is responsible for the supervision of their child(ren) at all times. $4* per child 2–5yrs FREE per child under 2yrs
Join the City of Surrey, in partnership with the Alexandra Neighbourhood House, for a free positive parenting series! Informative 4-week series for parents and caregivers that explores the power of connection and how it can support in day-to-day parenting.
Over the course of the series, topics explored include: Keeping in Connection at All Ages Making Sense of Behaviours Feelings and the Brain Problem Solving Approaches

Neighbourhood Enhancement Grants & Information Sessions Learn about neighbourhood enhancement grants and turn your ideas into action! Share your ideas, get inspired, and bring your friends, family and neighbours. Discover how to apply, explore grant opportunities, and make use of tools and resources to enhance your neighbourhood. Apply for up to $3,000 in grants to support your project. Surrey residents, community groups, businesses, and associations are all eligible.
Borrow a Neighbourhood Event Kit Make your next neighbourhood event a big success! Planning a block party, festival, outdoor music party, neighbourhood cleanup, or art jam? Borrow a kit with tents, tables, lawn games, and a portable sound system. Kits available from March 1 to September 30. Borrow a Neighbourhood Cleanup Kit Make your neighbourhood shine! Borrow a free cleanup kit that includes litter pickers, vests, and collection bags. This program is available to all residents, businesses, and schools!
Learning Opportunities Get expert advice and hands-on learning to build skills that help improve your neighbourhood. Attend a learning workshop and start turning your ideas into action. Neighbourhood Cleanups Join us at select locations and times to help clean up litter in Surrey neighbourhoods. All training and equipment are provided. Drop in or sign up to volunteer and make a difference in your community! Placemaking Meetups Empower your community through placemaking projects that make Surrey more vibrant! Get creative with fence art, chalk art, and more. All training and supplies are provided—just bring your energy and imagination!
