NEW & IMPROVED We are always working to keep our parks and trails well-designed and maintained for our growing community.This spring, visit one of our newly opened or recently upgraded parks: 1001 STEPS 12500 Block of 15A Ave | South Surrey Discover the newly built 1001 Steps, now a longer-lasting, beautifully redesigned route down to the shoreline, offering stunning ocean views and chances to spot seals and local wildlife. TEACHERS! Connect your students with a local park and help them discover the value of our shared park spaces. surrey.ca/schoolprograms SCHOOL PARK CLEANUPS Care for a local park this season with the help of Surrey Parks. We provide the tools and instructions. At the end of the school year, participating K to 7 classes will be entered for giveaways. Learn valuable skills like pruning, weeding, and more. No experience needed— everyone is welcome.Tools and training provided. Feature Garden Volunteer 16yrs+ Support with feature garden openings and events like our open houses at Darts Hill Garden Park and Mother’s Day weekend atThe Glades Woodland Garden. Learn more about these unique gardens, gain event experience, meet new people, and make an impact in your community. Park Care Team Surrey is a big city, and it takes everyone working together to keep it clean and beautiful. Park Cleanup events are held over spring break and throughout July September. Sign up to be kept up to date on when cleanups are offered. Did you know Surrey has the largest urban forest in Metro Vancouver?You can help protect and care for it by becoming a Friends of the Forest volunteer. Sharpen your identification skills, learn ways to document your sightings, and discover how you can help protect wildlife in this park. Bring a pair of binoculars or borrow one of ours.
